• Nissan South Africa commits further to the community and the environment
  • www.allterrain.co.za set to become the last word for information in the adventure and lifestyle community

Nissan South Africa, in an effort to increase awareness and provide a service to the community, has teamed up with social networking adventure website www.allterrain.co.za. A unique portal for lifestyle adventure enthusiasts, Nissan's affiliation with the brand as official vehicle partner comes in an effort to emphasise Nissan's commitment to the community and the environment.

Along with other premium brands which include Yokohama, Garmin and the Travel Doctor, Nissan SA finds itself in a position not only to promote the company's various lifestyle and adventure-related products, but also provide educational content and environmental  awareness for adventure enthusiasts via various guide books and virtual training facilities – including a 4x4 off-road driving guide, a recovery guide, a terrain crossing guide which includes tips on how to protect the environment and a specialised tyre guide. These manuals are specifically only available in downloadable PDF format, further highlighting Nissan's commitment to environmental care.

The Facebook of adventure

The All Terrain website, which offers information to both registered and guest visitors, is poised as a virtual 4x4 owner community with social media integration and ideals being employed to build a community of adventure enthusiasts, who are able to help and learn from each other – whether they fancy a trip through the bush, a canoe ride down a river or a bicycle ride up a mountain.

The website provides enhanced functionality in several ways, chief amongst which is the information sharing facility whereby members are able to share details on driving routes, accommodation and more. Package specials, product offers and retail specials will in future also be found on the site, allowing users the opportunity to capitalise on being a member of the "community".

A Range Finder facility will later be incorporated, which will allow users to research and compare off-road vehicles, allowing them to make an informed purchasing decision – all in an environment where such vehicles are driven in real-world conditions, by real people.

News and event information from more mainstream and competitive events – such as off-road rallies or adventure races – can also be found on the website, making it a gateway for everything the adventure-minded individual could ask for.

Adventure is the name of the game

www.allterrain.co.za is a site for anyone involved in outdoor lifestyle and adventure activities, and Nissan SA will be using the platform to promote their range of formidable off-road driving machines – from the X-Trail to the legendary Patrol. Registration to the All Terrain community is quick and free of charge, and the site is open to any escapade enthusiasts.
