PARYS, South Africa – Red-Lined Motoring Adventures heads to the final South African Cross Country Auto race in Parys in the Free State. The three-car team is looking at three different objectives Saturday 2 November. Ernest Roberts and Henry Kohne arrive intent on the championship, Terence Marsh and Letshego Zulu look to make a comeback, and Thomas Bell and Patrick McMurran plan to shake their brand-new Red-Lined Nissan Navara down in preparation for Dakar 2020.
Red-Lined Motoring Adventures is an official marketing partner with Nissan South Africa. The company focuses on building custom off-road race cars and trucks that are marketed and sold around the world.
Roberts and Kohne arrive at the Vaal River side airfield start off with a regional race win in their JCP Roofing Red-Lined Navara VK56, and looking for a great end to a splendid rookie Cross Country season. "We have enjoyed a fantastic first year in Cross Country racing," said Roberts. "I have finished all but one of the six rounds of the championship so far in the top ten and we have taken a podium in the FIA class, so it would be great to end up with a best of season finish in Parys. Bring it on."
Red-Lined CEO Marsh makes his racing return after suffering a mountain bike injury earlier in the season, and he's raring to get back into action. "It's been hard to sit back and watch the guys race, but I'm back at last," said Marsh. "The boss has to make do with one of our older Red-Lined VK50 Nissan Navaras, which is a pity because I am really itching to race one of our new VK56s. No matter, Letshego and I are looking forward to easing back into it this weekend."
Dubai-based Sabertooth Motorsport duo Bell and McMurran, who have finished every race they have started around the world in their 2019 season, from the Dakar through Dubai to Morocco and beyond, will debut their new latest NISMO V8-powered VK56 version of the South African developed and built Red-Lined racing machine in Parys. "We can't wait to step up to the next level and to put our brand-new Red-Lined VK56 Navara through its paces for the first time this weekend — let the adventures begin!"
