NAMIBIA, Africa – Nissan and partner Red-Lined Adventures have won the 50th edition of the legendary and historic TOTAL Tara Rally recently in Namibia.

Driver and local Namibian motorsport star Jaco van Dyk, partnered with navigator Michel Rust, won in a new T1 Dakar Nissan Navara.

The race started in Swakopmund and finished in Windhoek. It consisted of two racing categories – off-road cars (the category Nissan entered) and rally cars (WRC-type vehicles). The three-day event consisted of 21 race stages covering 210 km.

Red-Lined Adventures built and sold the car to van Dyk and then provided all the management and technical services for the duration of the event.

The victory is the third international win for Red-Lined Adventures in the last 10 months after wins in the Hail International Rally, the biggest motorsport event in Saudi Arabia, and the Jordan Rally.
