ROSSLYN, South Africa – To raise awareness around Autism Month this April, Nissan is sponsoring a fun day at the UNICA School for Autism on April 25.

The School, which is located in Ashlea Gardens in Pretoria, will become a buzz of activity as children between the ages of four and 17 take part in a whole range of fun activities, including face painting, photo booths and jumping castles.

There are still many misconceptions around Autism, making it important to carry out initiatives that drive greater awareness about the condition.

"Nissan views Autism awareness as a campaign of the utmost importance. Correcting misconceptions about Autism within our different communities will go a long way in helping to improve the lives of those with the condition. We hope initiatives like this, which make more information on Autism available to the public, will serve as a step in the right direction," says Keba Matlhako, CSR Senior manager at Nissan.

"Hopefully, the bonus will be a day of well-deserved fun for a special group of young people," he adds.
