The South African agricultural sector has been a key customer of Nissan SA for an impressive 7 decades now, and in 2010 continues to enjoy absolute dedication and commitment from the manufacturer which fields the strongest light commercial vehicle (LCV) line-up in the market today.

Further highlighting the importance of this relationship, Nissan SA has entered into a partnership with leading animal health provider Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health to further entrench the Nissan brand in the country’s agricultural communities.

Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health is one of the world's leading animal health companies. The company is dedicated to the research and development, production and marketing of high quality animal health products and feed additives. This front-running global organisation is a perfect fit for such a co-branding agreement with the Nissan brand, itself a leading player in the provision of the perfect vehicles for the needs of the agricultural community.

To maintain its dominance in the agricultural sector, Intervet runs an annual sales campaign, rewarding its customers with the chance to win great prizes on a quarterly basis. This year sees the biggest and best such campaign yet being conducted, with the highlights up for grabs a pair of rugged NP300 Hardbody 2.5TDi 4x2 D/Cab vehicles subsidised by Nissan SA – a prize which would add immeasurable value to the fleet of any active farmer, be it an addition to the farmer’s current range of Nissan vehicles or an all-new addition!

Although the strength and durability of the NP300 Hardbody is legendary, the same principles apply across the full breadth of the complete Nissan LCV range, from the NP200 half-tonner through the expanded Navara line-up and right up to the Herculean 4X4 Patrol Pickup – and make for favoured partners to the similarly hard-working members of the SA agricultural sector.

Nissan SA Director of Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales, Johan Kleynhans, says; “We see this partnership as the coming together of two companies both passionate about the SA agricultural sector to jointly drive our leading brands into the market, and in the process give something back to this imperative industry!”
