Nissan Formula E Team confirms Abbi Pulling and Gabriele Minì for Miami Rookie Free Practice

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Abbi Pulling and Gabriele Minì will both take on their fourth outings on track for Nissan Formula E Team next week in the upcoming Rookie Free Practice session, as Formula E heads to Miami for the series' third ever event in Florida, this time at the Miami International Autodrome.

With two cars allowed to run in FP0 for the first time, Nissan Formula E Team has decided to take advantage of the extra running time to better prepare for the first-ever Formula E race weekend at the venue. This opportunity also allows the team to continue building its relationship with both Abbi and Gabriele, giving the duo more valuable experience at the wheel of the Nissan e‑4ORCE 05.

The Japanese squad's rookie and simulator driver Pulling has plenty of experience in GEN3 Evo machinery after competing in both all-women's test sessions, finishing first and second respectively across the tests. The 22-year-old also completed the Berlin Rookie Test last year, managing 98 laps over the course of two three-hour long sessions around the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit.

Additionally, Pulling has attended multiple race weekends with the team and her work supporting the Japanese outfit in the simulator has contributed to the team's success and further development. The Brit also has experience of Miami International Autodrome, clinching two victories there on her way to the F1 Academy title in 2024.

Meanwhile, Formula 2 racer Minì returns to the squad thanks to Nissan Formula E Team's collaboration with Alpine Racing. The Italian delivered impressive displays in the Rookie Test in Season 10 and in last season's FP0 in Jeddah, before topping the timesheets of both sessions at the last Rookie Test in Berlin.

The 20-year-old also enjoyed a solid debut campaign in Formula 2 during 2025, securing podium finishes in Monaco, Silverstone and Abu Dhabi, and will return to the championship in 2026.

The duo has already worked together during last year's Berlin Rookie Test and will take on the 40-minute Rookie Free Practice session on Friday 30 January at 14:30 local time (UTC-5), which kicks off the weekend's action ahead of the first-ever Formula E race at Miami International Autodrome.

I've raced at Miami International Autodrome before in F1 Academy and, even though the track layout will be different, it will be a great spectacle across the weekend. Gabriele Minì: "It feels great to be back with Nissan Formula E Team in Miami for the Rookie Free Practice session. I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the GEN3 Evo car following Jeddah and Berlin last year. We showed strong pace in both of those sessions and I learned a lot, so I'm aiming for more of the same this time around. The Miami track will be new for the teams, so the main goal of the session is to collect lots of data and information for the team to use throughout the weekend."
