2007/06/05 South African built Nissan Navara shines on top international off road race The opening round of the 2007 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup, which includes a round in South Africa in July, took place in Spain and Portugal last weekend. The four-day Transiberico Rally, which covered a distance of more than 2 000 km including some 1 200 km of racing special stages, featured a stand-out performance by a South African-built Nissan Navara, privately entered by Belgian Gregoire de Mevius' Team Overdrive and driven by former world rally champion Colin McRae of Scotland.
2008/12/09 Strong South African Nissan Presence in 2009 Dakar Rally A total of four South African-built Nissan Navara off road racing pickups will contest the 2009 Dakar Rally, which starts in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on January 3 and follows a 9 574-km route through Argentina and Chile before finishing in Buenos Aires on January 18.
